Akij Bashir Group — a board-level Vehicle Management System proposal.

An interactive, 50-slide proposal I built for the Akij Bashir Group commercial electric-truck fleet, aimed squarely at the Board of Directors. Its central argument is a single number: moving each vehicle from 2 trips per day to 5 — modelled end to end, from the operating reality and the utilisation gap all the way to a six-layer VMS architecture and a live ROI calculator that states its own assumptions on the slide.

The argument

Recover the capacity that's already paid for.

Most industrial fleets in Bangladesh run on paper trip sheets, verbal dispatch and month-end fuel reconciliation — and a maintenance regime that only learns of a problem when a truck stops on the highway. The result is a fleet doing about 2 trips per vehicle per day against a proven ceiling of 5, quietly leaking roughly ৳ 8.4 crore a year that nobody ever signs off on.

The deck reframes that gap as an engineering problem, not a discipline problem. Tie dispatch, charging, maintenance, drivers, documents and finance to one data spine, and the recovered trips fall out of the system: AI dispatch chains trips back-to-back, charging shifts to off-peak automatically, predictive maintenance protects availability, and the Board watches the fleet live instead of monthly.

Crucially, the ROI model is honest. It applies an 85% demand-realisation factor and a 45% cost-to-serve before it claims any return, and it shows both — because a recovered trip only earns where there's freight to carry it.

How it's built

A deck that never leaves content trapped.

It's a dependency-light web app: hand-built SVG charts (no charting library), five product dashboard mockups, and all content living in one data file so a figure, a module or a chapter can be edited in one place. Animation is an enhancement only — if the ticker can't run, the finished layout renders synchronously, so nothing is ever stuck at opacity: 0. It ships in English and Bengali.
